Are you saved?

Here’s what the Bible actually teaches concerning salvation. How can one be saved?

1. Admit that you are sinner in the sight of a Holy God. God is Holy and cannot be in the presence of sin and sinners.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

Leviticus 11:45 “For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

2. Realize that sin has a payment. That payment is eternal death in the lake of fire.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…”

Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

Revelation 20:14-15 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

3. Realize that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again to pay your sin debt and provide salvation for you.

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

4. Realize that in order to be forgiven you must repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The Bible teaches us that we must cry out to God for forgiveness and salvation, placing our complete faith in Jesus Christ.

Mark 1:15 “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Acts 16:31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:”

Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
